Centered around a restored 1847 homeplace, Island Farm recreates what life was like on Roanoke Island before the Civil War. Daily programming brings opportunities for visitors to interact with the site’s animals (rescued Corolla wild horses, draft mule, cows, sheep, and chickens), its buildings (including the oldest restored home on Roanoke Island), historic crafts, games, and more.
